Jay started at Roadway Express now YRC Freight in 1992. Prior to that he was a member of Local 618 for 3 years. Jay has been the chief steward at Roadway since 1998. Jay is the current rank and file chairman of 688 Political Education Committee, a former member of the budget committee and current president of the Teamster Horsemen Chapter 13.
In 2017 Jay became a trustee of Local 688.
Jay has 1 son who is a pharmacist that lives in Olathe KS.
