Casey, a 23-year Teamster, has been a Trustee since 1999. A leader and steward on the shop floor as a UPS package car driver, Casey is now a Feeder Driver for the company. As senior Trustee, he is responsible for training new trustees in auditing the union’s accounting record and system. He was a delegate to the 2001 IBT Convention.

“I feel like we’re moving into a new chapter in Local 688 history,” Casey said. “I am excited to play a role in helping with long-term planning that strengthens the role our union can play for members.”

Casey is excited to help usher Local 688 into "more modern times." He said Secretary-Treasurer Mike Goebel has brought vision and vitality to the Executive Board. "Now we have a more energetic, unified Board that wants to move forward and bring more exciting things to members," Casey said. Those changes include better use of technology, improved member communication and a meeting center that is closer to where most members work. Casey says he enjoys learning from business agents and the members he represents, through his work as a Trustee and Shop Steward.

• Family - Married wife Juli in 1987. They have two children, Brittany (born in 1991) and Trevor (born in 1995).
