Pete Youngcourt comes from a union family. His grandfather was part of a union, his father was a Teamster, and his wife, one of the first women to be hired by the United Parcel Service, has been a Teamster member since 1975. Youngcourt himself spent 27 years working for UPS before joining Local 688 in 1997. Youngcourt says he enjoys mentoring the younger shop stewards. "Without good stewards, we don't have anything," he says. "And I've been fortunate that I've had good stewards."

• Hobbies/Interests - golf (he usually golfs every weekend; often at the Local 688 camp in Pevely.)
